This is a 173 hectares-nature park project for a bourbon bland "Kentucky Owl".
The park is a campus for a bourbon distillery, rick houses, a visitor center, a bottling center, and a train station/restaurant. Through an international competition, Earthscape was selected as a design landscape architect together with Shigeru Ban Architects as a design architect. We proposed to fill former limestone quarry basins with spring water to create deep blue lakes and wetlands, while architecture sits at higher land surrounded by grass meadows, and owl forest.

バーボンブランドKentucky Owlのために設えられた173ヘクタールの自然公園。この公園はバーボン蒸留所、貯蔵施設、ビジターセンター、駅舎、レストランを有する。指名国際コンペティションにて、Earthscapeは坂茂建築設計事務所と共にプロジェクトのリードデサイナーとして選ばれた。石灰岩の元採石場を現場発生の湧水で満たし、蒼く深い湖と湿地の風景を作り出す。坂氏の象徴的な建築は高台に建てられ、草原とミミズクの森に囲まれる。
